The pressroom is where ink is put on paper. All scanning, electronic manipulation, imposition, registration constraints, etc. are for naught if the ball is dropped in the pressroom. At Spectra Print Corporation we pride ourselves on our profile of presses. We have four 19" x 25 1/2" Heidelberg multicolor printing machines. They include a two color perfector; a five color; a five color with a tower aqueous coater and a six color perfector. In the larger format, we have recently installed a Koenig & Bauer 29" x 41" six color perfector with a tower coater and extended delivery. This new machine, with its speed rated at 15,000 SPH, is the fastest and finest printing machine on the market today.
This array of presses, equipped as they are, enables us to produce virtually any size printed product, aqueous coat it, and print it at phenomenal speed. With the perfectors, we can print both sides of the sheet in one pass through the press. Both Heidelberg and Koenig & Bauer have an enviable reputation throughout the graphic arts industry of being machines of outstanding quality. Ask any graphic arts executive - they will concur!
